The Belly Bandit Bamboo

Although everybody knows what can cause stretch marks ie: stomach growth and the stretching of skin, we really have never thought about the post period and what may be another factor. The excess skin that is pulled and stretched after birth may continue to cause unslightly markings by “hanging around”. The more weight you gain, the more you have to lose. Greater support of this loose skin may actually decrease tension which in turn may decrease stretch marks in the post period. While you do the tough part (ie: working out, eating right etc.) we'll hold you in and help decrease the risk of getting stretch marks post delivery.

Belly Bandit Sizing:

Belly_Bandit_Sizing_Chart.gif

If you are purchasing a Belly Bandit® early on in your pregnancy, your best bet is to go up 1 to 2 band sizes from your pre-pregnancy belly size.

In the eighth month many women will be the same size as they will be post delivery. Simply measure the circumference of your abdomen starting at your belly button. Choose the corresponding Belly Bandit for your size.

Just prior to delivery simply subtract 3 to 5 inches from your belly measurement. Select the corresponding band for that size. If you purchase your Belly Bandit® after you give birth, simply choose the corresponding band for belly size. The Belly Bandit® is designed with five inches of adjustability to stay tight as you shrink.

  1. I recently had a laparoscopic hysterectomy.

Posted by lisa on 17th Mar 2010

I recently had a laparoscopic hysterectomy. My doctor suggested I use the Belly Bandit while I was recovering from my surgery and I am so glad I did. I put the Belly Bandit on in the recovery room. The bamboo fabric was so soft next to my skin I was able to wear it day and night. My tummy felt so much better, like it was being protected. My recovery would have been much more uncomfortable if I didn't wear the Belly Bandit.
I would suggest it to any woman who is having this surgery. Thank you so much for creating this fabulous product

  2. I can't believe it's only been a week

Posted by Shelley Hughes on 14th Mar 2010

I can't believe it's only been a week and I already notice a huge difference since I've delivered my baby, my stomach is much flatter and feel less "mushy"! "This is a must have for all mothers; not only is this a comfortable garment it's very effective in obtaining pre-pregnancy belly and supporting your lower back!"
All I can say is....GET ONE!

  3. Belly Bandit Review from a Personal Trainer

Posted by Olga on 13th Mar 2010

I am a mother of 5 and I am working as a Personal trainer (prenatal and postnatal). I am always teaching “my” moms to be aware of their abs. It`s hard to get the shape and the function back after the pregnancy. So now it was the time for me to proof it!

My twin girls were born in November 2009 ( in week 38) and I started to use the Belly bandit (in bamboo) just the day after the delivery (it was natural birth) and I used it for 7 weeks, both day and night. In the beginning I was doing Pilates breathing exercises each time I breastfeed so I could start feeling my deep abs muscles. It was important for me “to get in touch” with my abs as soon as possible so I wouldn`t hurt my low back by all lifting I did and still doing. I needed to find all support I could and the BB made it possible.

Two weeks later I started my abs training with static exercises like different types of planks (with the wrap on of course), no sit ups or crunches. Today I am able to squeeze my abs without any support. I can only compare with my other pregnancies and I am in much better shape now then after my other three kids. I believe that it`s very important to start with BB as soon as possible after the delivery for the best results.

  4. Great for c sections.

Posted by Joslyn on 13th Mar 2010

I had a C Section with my last baby. I purchased the Bamboo Belly Bandit and was nervous at first that it would irritate my incision. The Bamboo Belly Bandit has be fantastic. I would recommend it to anyone who had a C Section. It is soft and comfy. It provided extra support for my back and stomach. I have also noticed a BIG difference in my tummy getting back into shape than I did with my first kiddo.
